Telenor is seeking a new Vice President to head up the team for Security Governance at our headquarters in Norway. This role encompasses customer and enterprise security related to all Telenor companies. This requires broad collaboration that connects the threat landscape with security maturity and products. The main purpose is to define and govern business security including physical, personnel and travel, incident and crisis management as well as technical implementations using our defendable architecture guidelines.

As our new Vice President Security Governance you will be a part of our Global Business Security (GBS) team and the Group CTO organization. GBS is a global expert function with diverse knowledge and experience to take security into the future.

Some of your main responsibilities:

• Drive governance of Security Architecture Principles, the Group Security Policies and Security Strategy. Develop and maintain relevant security governing documents (Policy, Manuals, Guidelines).
• Communicate with executive stakeholders and engage in reporting on status and achievements, e.g. for Telenor annual reports. Define, prepare and report on business security related with sustainability/ESG. Monitor and report on key performance indicators for all business security areas, e.g. information security, physical security, personnel security and fraud.
• Maintain status and plans for main security activities. Engage and take lead in shaping up relevant key technology strategy focus areas and activities with collaboration across different units ensuring that business security aspects are fully embedded in the approach and results
• Develop Telenor business security competences across all units and collaborate with key external partners and organizations.
• Drive and coordinate physical security including collaboration with selected partners and development of Telenor community of experts.
• Engage in incident and crises management on need basis.
• Heading up a team of security experts covering crisis management, incident handling, personnel and travel, service fraud, telco and defendable architecture.
  

Preferred experience and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in security risk management, international relations, criminal investigation, intelligence studies or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic, tactical and operational security across all levels in the organization.
• Excellent understanding and hands on experience from handling threats and providing relevant information to management.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and process, including the ability to conduct risk assessments and apply them to daily operations.
• Ability to produce documentation that is practical and easy to understand and implement.
• Experience with project management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, external stakeholders as well as other units.
• Experience within physical security area.
